Training Consultant

Job Description

 

The Training Consultant (TC) is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the Blaze Pizza training programs and standards in all Franchise and Blaze Corporate restaurants. The TC ensures adherence to all learning standards and training systems and works to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement. The TC is instrumental in identifying and developing Nationally Certified Training Restaurants (NCTR) and Certified Training Managers (CTM) and maintaining a strong portfolio of NCTR’s within their part of the country. TC’s are also responsible for the oversight and orchestration of the New Restaurant Opening training program. This position serves as a champion of the overall Learning vision and culture at Blaze, while influencing all brand partners through Igniting Joy. 

 

 Training Consultant Responsibilities 

  • Supports both Franchise and Blaze Corporate restaurants to ensure implementation and execution of all training programs and initiatives 
  • Leads the certification process for Nationally Certified Training Restaurants by ensuring consistent execution and oversight of the certification process and provide continual development for Certified Training Managers 
  • Oversight of the NRO Training Process for our Franchise and Corporate locations working alongside the FBC’s 
  • Align training programs with business objectives and annual company vision and goals 
  • Act as an ambassador for Blaze training tools and programs while remaining focused on the “Why’s” 
  • Update, develop, and maintain all learning content by working with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency (PlayerLync and all training materials) 
  • Provide coaching, support, and development across many departments regarding training and standards 
  • Oversight of Franchise Management/Franchisee Training that will be executed at both Blaze Franchise/Corporate NCTR’s 
  • Work closely with Franchise Business Consultants and Directors to foster a culture of ongoing support 
  • Manage NRO Team Leaders 
  • Maintain a strong “bench” of top performing Team Trainers 
  • Performs Other Responsibilities as Assigned

QUALIFICATIONS 

 

Experience, Education, and Certifications: 

  • • Bachelor’s Degree in relevant discipline preferred 
  • • Minimum 5 years of above-restaurant QSR, fast casual, casual dining, or other relevant industry experience 
  • • Previous experience working in Franchise support in some capacity 
  • • ServeSafe Food Safety Certification

  • Possesses a high degree of drive and ability to produce results and accomplish goals in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment 
  • Ability to prioritize, organize and manage multiple projects with sensitive deadlines and changing environment

  • Advanced analytical skills and ability to work with unstructured data to create relevant reports and insights 
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality and continuous improvement 
  • Strong written, electronic, verbal, communication skills and comfortable with presentations to large groups

  • Ability to generate financial reports and manage accountabilities 
  • Knowledge of all MS Office products with advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint

  • Must exude strong business maturity, professionalism, and business savvy 
  • Demonstrates strong ability to follow-up and see projects through to completion 

Miscellaneous Requirements and expectation: 

  • Valid Driver’s License and maintains a personal auto insurance policy 
  • Ability to travel 70%-80% 
  • Comfortable with air travel
