Learning Technology Specialist
Job Description
The Learning Technologies Specialist is responsible for the utilization and maintenance of the Learning Management Platforms and for researching, developing and supporting the implementation of e-learning as a methodology at Buffalo Wild Wings. This position participates in special projects involving learning and development, technology, and media as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Technology Support:
- Act as an LMS support admin for both company and franchise sports bars
- Troubleshoot and resolve basic user issues, manage assignments, and update learning assets and programs in conjunction with training needs of the organization.
- Communicate and respond to all LMS inquires within a timely manner
- Ensure functionality of the LMS in areas of notification and administration of training operations and assessments
- Work closely with learning team to ensure training is available and able to be completed as required
- Ensure an efficient enrollment process of new team members (company) into the LMS thru integrated data feeds
- Clearly communicate with internal and external stakeholders impacts to and from the LMS
- Responsible for setting up, running and maintaining LMS reports
- Understand and assess impact of new processes and systems integrations and timelines for the LMS
- Explore and recommend opportunities to improve the LMS performance across the organization
- Be able to effectively document all process changes and procedures related to LMS administration
Learning Support:
- Creation of and improvement of job aids, resource guides, training documents, elearnings, quizzes, and workbooks using appropriate authoring tools
- Assist with production panning, including scheduling, coordinating, needs analysis, and communication planning
- Follow best practices of learning management administration
- Serves as the business liaison with external vendors to ensure outsourced programs/products meet internal requirements and objectives
Job Requirements
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and professional work experience
- Preferred Certification and/or training in e-learning and specialized subject matter(s)
- Preferred Certified Professional in Learning and Performance (CPLP)
- Basic understanding of graphic design, instructional design and eLearning development
- Prior LMS administration experience
- Experience in the hospitality and service industries
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS or ABILITIES
- Effective verbal and written communication
- Identifies possible solutions to a variety of technical problems and takes actions to resolve
- Effective time management
- Customer-focused approach in attaining desired results
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Advanced ability to create and manipulate Excel spreadsheets
- Able to execute pre-defined processes from detailed written or verbal instructions and apply knowledge of the process for follow-up and troubleshooting
