Field Training Manager

Job Description

This role would be supporting the following brands: Auntie Anne's, Carvel, Cinnabon and Jamba

The Field Training Manager delivers onsite training for new franchise and corporate openings and ensures that employees receive the necessary training to perform their job duties effectively. They also provide additional brand support with new product and equipment testing and implementation, promotions, and policy and procedure implementation across designated franchise locations to help drive the achievement of GoTo Foods brand goals and objectives.

  • New Store Opening Training Support
    • Coordinates and schedules travel for individual onsite training support visits.
    • Prepares all necessary training materials needed for team members and/or mgmt. training.
    • Works with franchisees and management teams to prepare and execute training during opening training week(s).
    • Assists with outstanding onsite issues, as needed, to support new store opening training.
    • Communicates with necessary brand and engine partner departments to resolve outstanding new store opening issues via checklists and other processes.
    • Builds and maintains opening training week agendas and other supporting training documents necessary to facilitate team member and mgmt. training and address any brand changes or initiatives.
    • Follows current trends and emerging innovations in training delivery; researches, evaluates, and provides recommendations on new formats to enhance training effectiveness.
    • Makes recommendations on revising learning programs and delivery techniques to ensure the curriculum and methods are relevant and up-to-date.
    • Assists with the tracking of certification/re-certification of Certified Training Location requirements.
  • Additional Training and Operations Support
    • Attends train-the-training programs to learn new training material and content required.
    • Reviews content and makes necessary adjustments to material to best address any brand changes or initiatives.
    • Delivers operational training and re-fresher training programs that effectively transfer knowledge, increase skills and performance, and engage attendees in the importance and value of the material.
    • Provides reporting on the training conducted and its effectiveness.
    • Supports brands with Quality, Service and Cleanliness evaluations and brand specific initiatives/events.
    • Reviews weekly training, marketing, operations communications, and updates to stay current on brand and company initiatives


Job Requirements


Work Experience

  • 2-4 years, Operational training delivery, Pref
  • Quick service, full-service, franchise operations and or/hospitality industry, Pref
  • Demonstrated success in designing and delivering engaging learning that drove desired results, Pref
  • Previous franchise experience Pref. 

Skills & Abilities

  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365
  • Knowledge of adult learning methodology and techniques (e.g, concepts, principles, etc.)
  • Presentation skills and the ability to effectively present training content and facilitate participants’ learning
  • Ability to develop and maintain positive business relationships and foster an environment of mutual respect, understanding, and support
  • Ability to convey clear, concise information in verbal, written, electronic, and other communication formats; and to demonstrate active listening while engaging others
  • Ability to adapt and adjust planned work through analyzing work demands, competing priorities, and tight deadlines; to understand the most effective and efficient means to accomplish tasks within the parameters of the organizational structure, processes, systems, and policies
  • Ability to anticipate and respond to the needs of stakeholders (e.g, internal and external customers, etc.) in a timely manner
  • Knowledge of cultural and linguistic issues that must be addressed when working internationally.
  • Knowledge of Country specific requirements (e.g, standards and/or markets) as they related to GoTo Foods franchises.

Travel Requirements

  • May be required to travel up to 75% of the time
