Monique Donahue Appointed to New Education Strategist Position

The Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers (CHART) is proud to announce that Monique Donahue has been appointed to the newly-created position of Education Strategist. This two-year volunteer position is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to keep CHART’s hospitality training competencies up-to-date and relevant for its members, overseeing the evolution of CHART’s educational platform, and ensuring that the focus of that platform is incorporated into all aspects of the organization’s learning opportunities.

August 26, 2015 – The Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers (CHART) is proud to announce that Monique Donahue has been appointed to the newly-created position of Education Strategist. This two-year volunteer position is responsible for developing and implementing a strategy to keep CHART’s hospitality training competencies up-to-date and relevant for its members, overseeing the evolution of CHART’s educational platform, and ensuring that the focus of that platform is incorporated into all aspects of the organization’s learning opportunities.

Jason Lyon, CHART president, commented, “Monique’s strong background in the field of instructional design, learning and professional development, and technology-based education made her the perfect candidate for this new role.”

Monique Donahue, who currently is the Director of ELearning at Hilton Grand Vacations, added, “I am proud and excited to work with the CHART Board to ensure that the competencies offered to our members are current and provide the best training to help them further develop and succeed in their hospitality training roles.”

Monique was selected from a pool of CHART member applicants after all were carefully examined.

CHART currently offers 12 competencies workshops in the roles of Trainer, Instructional Design, Manager, and Executive. These professional benchmarks help trainers to grow and provide greater value to their respective organizations. All of the workshops are offered at CHART’s T3 conference held annually in February or March and selected workshops are available at the annual summer CHART conference.
