Duties of President Elect
- The primary purpose for the President-Elect’s position is to extend CHART’s name to the hospitality industry, plan for the next term in office, and lend continuity to Board of Director actions when moving in the President’s role.
- Additional responsibilities include:
o Support CHART leadership and strive to uphold the organization’s vision, mission and organizational by-laws.
o Provide leadership and support to all officer and director positions to attain established goals as defined by the Board of Director.
o Learn the role of President and gain a greater working knowledge of all officer and director positions.
o Assist in filling all Director Positions.
o Identify a minimum of two candidates for each elected position.
o Solicit at least 6 nominations for the Commitment to People award.
o Administer and coordinate selection process for the award.
o Update and Maintain Leadership Manual.
o Support Public Relations and Sponsorship efforts.
o Evaluate each alliance for exposure, credibility and equity position or financial return.
o Gain a strong working knowledge of all CHART financial affairs.
o Submit articles for FlipCHART as appropriate.
o Learn and follow Robert’s Rules.
