Duties of President
- The President is chief executive officer and advisor/ “conscience” to the Board of Directors.
- The areas of responsibility include chairing the Board of Directors, ensuring adherence to long range and annual plans and serving as ex officio member of all committees. The Executive Director and five elected officers report to the president.
- The president coordinates the efforts and activities of the Board of Director and directors as the hub through which all CHART business, conferences and activities flow.
- Additional duties include:
o Oversee all CHART business, conferences and activities.
o Develop annual organization goals and objectives.
o Coordinate Board of Director annual goals, budgets and activities.
o Follow-up on Board of Director monthly activities.
o Develop annual administrative budget.
o Chair Board of Director and Business Meetings.
o Open and close conferences.
o Maintain membership communication through “state of the organization” columns in the FlipCHART.
o Represent the CHART organization at external activities and to the other related organizations.
o Protect the values and beliefs of the governing principles of CHART to retain a strong member driven, non-profit, volunteer organization.
o Actively mentor the President-Elect in preparation for assuming the office of the President
