When the economy forecast looks gloom, you need to have a plan. Monical's team will provide attendees with the thinking behind how tough decisions can be made, how to obtain buy-in from the entire company, overcome problems, and implement solutions. In late 2008, Monical's Pizza knew that 2009 would be a challenging year for the economy. Instead of "reducing" costs and taking a conservative approach in order to weather out the storm, leadership at the 66-unit chain created a group, including individuals from the marketing and education departments, and tasked it with raising sales and profits in the worst economy in generations. The group created a program that focused on re-enforcing guest service basics and an incentive program that included every member of the corporation both in the restaurants and the office. Learn how you can establish new standards for creating, implementing and monitoring a company wide inter-departmental project.

Charlotte Smith, FMP
Regional Trainer, Monical's Pizza
It is not uncommon for a junior in high school to take a part-time job in a restaurant to earn some money and it is not uncommon for the person to decide to make the restaurant industry her career; but what is very uncommon is for that person to stay with that same restaurant company for 35-years. Charlotte started as fronter taking phones order and then worked each hourly position. She was promoted to become one of the first female managers at Monical's. After successfully managing a number of Monical's locations she became a Regional Trainer overseeing eight-restaurants.
