Lisa Marovec is the Senior Director of Marketing Communications for CHART. She is the founder and president of Marovec Strategic Association Marketing, a company that provides growth strategies for nonprofit associations in the hospitality industry. She is actively working with CHART to help the organization better achieve its mission by providing strategies for sustainable competitive and member advantages.

Lisa has over fifteen years of experience working for trade associations in the hospitality industry. Prior to working for CHART, she was Director of Programs and Services for the North American Association of Food Equipment Manufacturers (NAFEM). For over seven years, she worked for the National Restaurant Association Educational Foundation (NRAEF) as Director of Strategic Marketing and as a Group Product Manager, marketing such training programs as the ServSafe Food Safety program, ProMgmt University Foodservice curriculum and ProStart High School Foodservice curriculum.

While with NAFEM and the NRAEF, Lisa was a CHART member. She was an active volunteer and served as marketing director for the Fort Worth conference in 1998, speaker director for the Chicago conference in 1999, and served on the Board of Directors in an appointed marketing position from 1999-2001.

Lisa holds a BA in Marketing from the Illinois Institute of Technology and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, with majors in Not-for-Profit Management, Marketing and Strategy. Lisa is a member of the International Foodservice Editorial Council (IFEC), the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD), and the Association Forum of Chicagoland.

Marovec Strategic Association Marketing’s client list includes the Association of Hospitality Recruiting Executives (AHRE) and the National Retail Tenants Association (NRTA).
