New CHART Board for 2014-2015

The Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers (CHART, www.chart.org) announced the election of its new Executive Board at its’ 88th semi-annual Hospitality Training Conference, held July 26-29, 2014 in Atlanta, GA.

CHART Announces New Executive Board for 2014-2015

Westfield, NJ (August 27,2014) – The Council of Hotel and Restaurant Trainers (CHART, www.chart.org) announced the election of its new Executive Board at its’ 88th semi-annual Hospitality Training Conference, held July 26-29, 2014 in Atlanta, GA.

The new Executive Board will be headed up by Patrick Yearout.  Patrick has been working in the hospitality industry since 1992 and is currently Director of Training for Ivar’s Restaurants inSeattle,WA.  He joined CHART in 2002 and has been an active participant in the organization serving on the board and several conference teams.

Other CHART Executive Board members for the 2014-2015 year include:

Jason Lyon, President-Elect

Jason is CEO of The Common Man Family of Restaurants inAshland,NH.  He has been a CHART member since 2007, where he has served as a mentor, presenter, and has been a director on several conference teams.

Michele Lange, Board Member

Michele is Director of Training and Development for The Habit Burger Grill.  She has been a member of CHART since 2007 and has served on the Board since 2012.

Chip Romp, Board Member

Chip is Vice President of Training for Ovation Brands.  This will be his second term on the Board.  He is also a founding member of our Learning Legacy Fund.

Donna Herbel, Board Member

Donna was just elected to the CHART Board.  She is Lead Director, Training & Development for Perkins & Marie Callender’s, LLC.  Donna has had many roles at CHART since joining in 2005.

Gabe Hosler, Board Member

Gabe was also newly elected to the CHART Board.  He is the Director of Field Training and Operations for Rubio’s Restaurants.  His first exposure to CHART was at one of our 2009 conferences and he has been active since then.

Tara Davey, Executive Director

Tara is President of Eastwood Association Management and has been the Executive Director of CHART since 1998.  Before joining CHART, she was a trusts and estates attorney working with several non-profit foundations.

This new Executive Board will continue to carry out the key strategies for CHART including strengthening strategic partnerships, expanding educational opportunities and managing membership growth. The Board also oversees CHART’s semi-annual hospitality training conferences which will be held February 21-24, 2015 at the Embassy Suites inNapa,CAand July 18-21, 2015 at the Ritz Carlton inNew Orleans,LA.
